Playing Catch Up

Since it's been such a long time since we've updated the blog, Nicolas wanted to share some pictures.

While Daddy and his friends tore out our old kitchen, Mommy and Nicolas were busy reading and playing.

We felt the wind in our hair on a few road trips we took. We even took Marley with us.

And we spent a lot of time introducing Nicolas and Marley to each other.

We will miss you summer. Come back soon!

Sharpen your pencils...

After a long blogging hiatus, Nicolas is back. It's been a long summer filled with beaches, pools, camp and fun. Nicolas started school yesterday. Our little guy is growing up!
He got his good luck kisses from Mommy and a pep talk from Daddy.
But Nicolas didn't need any of that because he's a BIG boy!

(By the way...We are sitting on the steps of our first house!!!)

Nicolas is taking a bus all by himself to school and to get him there we special ordered a wheelchair for him.

And it fits him like a glove. Pretty snazzy, right?
The bus driver is very friendly and introduced himself to us and showed Nicolas all the parts of the bus.
On his way up!

Nicolas was ready to go (and Mommy was starting to lose it!).

The report from the teacher was that he did really well on his first day!

You say, "Jump!" I say, "How high?"

Jumping and giggling with the hiccups. Nicolas has talent!
Happy Birthday Uncle Thomas!

Everyone is sick!

Mommy is sick. Daddy is sick. Will someone come play with me?

Update

Mommy is a slacker and hasn't been updating the blog. We apologize.

We've been busy playing, testing out a new bed and enjoying March Break.

We took it easy for most of the week that Nicolas had off, but we did manage to make it to "Spring Fling," an indoor carnival.

Nicolas drove the car all by himself. Look, no hands!

Big Boy Bed

Nicolas has officially moved into his big boy bed. After trying to re-adjust his crib, we found that it was staying together by sheer luck. So, we marched our way over to IKEA and replaced it with a toddler bed that converts into a full size twin bed.

We are proud to report that we have only had one minor slip-up since he's been sleeping in it (his leg got stuck under the guard rail). Nicolas has been sleeping better too!

Thank you IKEA!

Snowpocalypse

As if we needed reminding, it's the middle of January and we have been treated to our 5th major snow storm of the winter season. Today we took advantage of it.

Nicolas wasn't sure about the sled and snow at first, but loved the ride after a walk around the block. It was a winter wonderland!
